Teemu Kivihalme Tapped For Nashville NHL Team

The Burnsville native trained under his Finnish father.

A Burnsville High School student is headed off to Nashville, TN  to play for the NHL's Nashville Predators. 

Teemu Kivihalme was drafted in the fifth round, according to USA Today.

Kivihalme had previously planned to attend Colorado College and play NCAA hockey in the fall of 2014, according to The Western College Hockey Blog. Under his father's tutelage, he regularly visited his father's home country of Finland to train with Finnish hockey players, the website reported.
