Burnsville Assistant Superintendent to Take New Position in Pequot Lakes

Chris Lindholm, second in command at the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District, is leaving to become the superintendent of a district about 20 miles north of Brainerd.

There's been another shakeup at the top in District 191.

Tuesday, school officials announced that Assistant Superintendent Chris Lindholm will leave the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District to become the superintendent of Pequot Lakes, a district in central Minnesota. Lindholm has been with the District 191 for three years as assistant superintendent, spearheading initiatives to improve curriculum, instruction, assessment and training.

"We have accomplished a great deal thanks to many top notch people who work incredibly hard," Lindholm said in a prepared statement.

Lindholm will stay on until this summer. Over the past few months, there has been some talk of eliminating his position entirely, due to financial strain. According to a release from the district, outgoing Superintendent Randy Clegg will leave the fate of the assistant superintendent's position in the hands of his successor.

Clegg, too, will be leaving the district after the school year ends, on June 30. His replacement will be chosen by the end of this week.
