Red Cross Assists Burnsville Residents Displaced by Townhome Fire

One townhome unit was a "complete loss" after the fire.

The American Red Cross is providing assistance to 25 people after weekend fires in Burnsville, Columbia Heights and Willmar. 

Burnsville residents from three townhome units were displaced after a three-alarm fire on Sunday morning at 231 Birnamwood Drive, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported. One unit is a "complete loss" and residents will temporarily be unable to stay in two neighboring units.

Two residents received minor injuries from the fire. No firefighters were injured. 

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.

The American Red Cross provides families help with immediate recovery needs, such as shelter, clothing, food and emotional support.
