Homicide in Burnsville Currently Under Investigation

Police responded to Nina's Grill on Sunday after receiving a report that someone had been shot.

Burnsville Police are currently investigating a homicide that occurred in Burnsville early Sunday morning.

Police responded to Nina's Grill, located on Horizon Drive, at 1:58 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22 upon receiving a report that someone had been shot, according to a news release from the Burnsville Police Department. They found a black male deceased in the parking lot.


Burnsville Police extensively searched the area for the suspect, but were unsuccessful. They do not have information on the suspect at this time.

It is an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the community, the Burnsville Police Department stated in the release.

Assisting agencies during Sunday's incident were the Minnesota State Patrol, Eagan Police Department, Dakota County Sheriff's Department and the Lakeville Police Department.
