Music, dance, visual art and fun and games were featured during the annual event, which moved indoors because of rain Saturday.
Just like clockwork, a rain shower marked the 3 p.m. starting time for the International Festival of Burnsville Saturday. But festival organizers were prepared, as they already decided to move activities from Nicollet Commons Park to the adjacent Performing Arts Center. Signs announcing the change in venue greeted festival-goers as they arrived at the Nicollet Avenue facility. The skies brightened soon after the start of the festival, but dark clouds to the west threatened more showers. The evening’s weather turned out to be calm and clear.
