Nationwide Warrant Issued for Burnsville Man Charged with Child Sex Crime, Assault
Police say Stephen Richard Angotti—already facing charges of inappropriate sexual conduct with a child—assaulted a woman in Burnsville in October.
A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for a Burnsville man charged with assaulting a Burnsville woman. Stephen Richard Angotti, 28, is on pretrial release on charges that he had inappropriate sexual contact with a child of 5. Those charges were filed in January in Dakota County District Court. The new charges against Angotti are both felonies: third-degree assault and domestic assault, each of which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Police say a woman came to the Burnsville police station just before 11 p.m. Oct. 26 to report a domestic assault, according to the new criminal complaint. The woman said she had asked Angotti, her ex-boyfriend, to look after her two sons, 3 years old and 11 months old…
