Obituary: Robert Charles Gordon, 87

Robert "Bob" Charles Gordon, of Burnsville, passed away on Sept. 16, 2012 at the age of 87. Gordon served as a a B17 ball turret gunner during World War II, flying 35 missions. However, he will be best remembered as a loving father and grandfather by his family. "Bob is loved and will be missed dearly," his relations wrote. He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Catherine; siblings, John Gordon and Betty (Ray) Jaraczewski. Gordon is survived by his eight children, Jeffery, Todd, Judith (George) Root, Sue Paulsen, Patricia (Ken) Liles, Robert M. (Jennifer), Terrence (Lisa) and Steven Gordon; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret Gordon; also nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial mass will be …
