For the 13th consecutive month, the Twin Cities’ median home sales price rose, continuing a sustained rebound for the metro area’s housing market, local real estate associations reported Wednesday. An increased number of pending sales and new listings of traditional, non-distressed properties were other signs of the housing market’s mini-boom. In March, the Twin Cities’ median sales price was $176,000, up 17.4 percent from the same period a year ago, according to the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR). There will be approximately $30 million in first mortgage financing available along with a mortgage credit certificate option that will help about 200 households achieve homeownership.
