The marriage amendment failed in Burnsville, overall, by a slim margin: Citywide, 49.26 percent of the electorate said yes to the marriage amendment. However, the vote was not evenly split in every precinct. Some showed moderate support for the amendment, while in others voters were strongly opposed.
