Eagan Man Arrested for Threatening to Shoot Burnsville Bar Patrons

Clifford Peter Gessner, 76, allegedly asked a waitress "if God would forgive him" if he shot those bellied up to the bar at JR's Bar & Grill.

A 76-year-old Eagan man faces a felony charge after he allegedly threatened shoot up a local brew-and-burger joint. Clifford Peter Gessner was arrest for making terroristic threats after an incident at JR's Bar & Grill. The charge is a felony which carries up to five years in jail and a $10,000 fine. The Burnsville Police Department was called to the restaurant just before 10 p.m. on the night of May 5. Another patron told officers that Gessner confided that he wanted to shoot the man who had "run off with Gessner's ex-wife." Over the course of the evening, Gessner became angrier and angrier, the man said, and he began talking about shooting the people at the bar. Burnsville Man Charged with Beating Woman into a Concussion

Brandon Christopher Jones, 25, had only been out of jail for one day when the attack occurred.

A Burnsville man has been accused of beating a woman until she blacked out, then refusing to get her medical treatment. Brandon Christopher Jones, 25, is charged with third-degree assault (substantial bodily harm), a felony. He also faces three lesser charges for domestic abuse and violation of a no contact order. According to the criminal complaint, the incident in question took place on the afternoon of March 29, 2012, one day after Jones pleaded guilty to false imprisonment. Following the plea hearing he was released from the Dakota County Jail. He returned to his apartment on Cliff Road, where the victim was staying. The woman said Jones was "very angry" when he arrived, and badgered her about why she hadn't called or written while he …

Burnsville Man Arrested After High-Speed Chase, Leap from Moving Car

Marquis Marvin Mitchell and a white male, who has yet to be identified, allegedly went on an early morning burglary spree which ended in a dramatic pursuit.

Early last Friday, a bus driver pulling into Lakeville's park-and-ride on Cedar saw something unusual—very unusual: A man emerging from the weeds surrounding a nearby marsh. The man boarded the bus. The bus driver called the cops. As it happens, the man in the marsh was Burnsville resident Marquis Marvin Mitchell, a 19-year-old burglary suspect and the subject of a manhunt. The incident in question began at 4:25 a.m. that morning, when Lakeville Police were called to a house on Hamilton Drive on report of a burglary. St. Paddy's Day Reveler Stopped By Citizens After Car Crash, Police Say

Alexander C.E. Blanchard, 27, allegedly blazed a 14-mile trail of destruction from Bloomington to Burnsville to Apple Valley, hitting at least two other cars along the way.

Police say a St. Paul man is responsible for a series of car accidents that occurred on Saturday. Alexander C.E. Blanchard, 27, has been charged with criminal vehicular operation, a gross misdemeanor that carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison and a $3,000 fine. He also faces two counts of DUI. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Blanchard's drunken sojourn began around 7:48 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, when a call came in about a hit and run in the city of Bloomington. The reporting party said he was rear ended by a vehicle which sped away before he could call police. Eagan Man Arrested in Connection with New Year's Death on Slater Road

Police say Samuel Walter Petersen fought with the 36-year-old victim just prior to the victim's death on Jan. 1.

Eagan police are treating the Jan. 1 death of a 36-year-old man as a homicide, and have arrested his roommate in connection to the incident, according to Eagan Police Department Spokesperson Desiree Schroepfer. The roommate, 28-old-year Samuel Walter Petersen of Eagan, is currently being held at the Dakota County Jail, pending formal criminal charges. The victim's name has not yet been released, pending notification of family members. At 11:56 p.m. on Jan. 1, police and paramedics responded to a call on the 4500 block of Slater Road, right on the Eagan-Burnsville border. The caller, Petersen, told police he had been fighting with the victim, who had fallen unconscious and was not breathing. Paramedics and firefighters assisted Eagan police…

Wesley Rayvon Johnson, who asked arresting officers to speak to his mother last month, has now been charged with leading Minneapolis police on a high-speed chase that apparently ended with a dramatic performance.

A Burnsville man who was arrested last month in Minneapolis and charged with illegally possessing a gun has run afoul of Minneapolis police again, this time for leading them on a high-speed chase and feigning unconsciousness after he crashed his car.   Wesley Rayvon Johnson, 20, was arrested Nov. 8 and charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, a felony with a maximum penalty of three years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Man Charged with Firing Gun Through Burnsville Hotel Room Doors

Police say Marvin Robert Uecker Jr. fired a revolver through the door of a Burnsville hotel room, and the bullet pierced the door across the hall, frightening a man and a woman and causing them to flee the hotel.

A man has been charged with firing a revolver through the door of a Burnsville hotel room in September, forcing a couple across the hall to flee when the bullet also pierced their room door. Marvin Robert Uecker Jr., 39, is charged with reckless discharge of a firearm within a municipality, a felony with a maximum penalty of two years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
