Alan Jacob McMullen Alan Jacob McMullen was born on May 17, 1970 to Richard and Susan (Sellner) McMullen of Comfrey in Springfield, MN. Alan died on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the age of 33 years. He attended St. Paul’s Catholic Elementary School and Comfrey Public School. In high school he played football and baseball. He was also a member of the Delton Doers 4-H Club of Cottonwood County. After graduating in 1997, he went to Ridgewater College in Willmar and graduated in 2000 from the school's pre-engineering Program. Alan transferred to Minnesota State University, Mankato.
