Longtime Nash Finch Man, Rock Enthusiast Dies at 51

Rodney A. Keller, of Savage, was a loyal employee, proud family man and native of North Dakota.

Rodney A. Keller, of Savage, passed away on March 24, 2013 at the age of 51. Keller was born and raised in Minot, ND. After graduating from Ryan High School, he earned a degree in accounting at Minot State College. He began working for Nash Finch—a large wholesale food distributor—as a recent college grad. The job took him to Liberal, KS where he met his beloved wife, Betty. The two moved to Fargo, ND after the wedding, then relocated to the Minneapolis-St.Paul area, where Nash Finch is headquartered. He spent the rest of his career in the company's corporate office in Edina. "Rod was a family man. His wife and children were the joy of his life and he was very proud of them," his family writes. "Weekends were spent with family and friends…

Obituary: Diane Holcombe, 61

Aug. 10, 1951 - March 19, 2013

Diane Holcombe, of Burnsville, died March 19, 2013 at the age of 61. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dolores. Holcombe is survived by her son, Aaron (Karla) Holcombe; grandchildren, Fiona and Tommy; Father, Carl Holcombe; siblings, Lynn Erlandson and John Holcombe; nephews, Michael (Felicia) James and Anthony (Krystal) Erlandson; also by other loving relatives and friends. A funeral service for Holcombe will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at White Funeral Home in Burnsville, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to service: Interment will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.

Former Pastor of Lutheran Church of the Ascension Dies at 77

Rev. Clark Jaeger, 77, of Burnsville, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013.

Jaeger was a 1954 graduate of Wahpeton High School in North Dakota, after which he attended college at Concordia University in St. Paul and Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, IL. He was ordained at his home congregation, Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton, ND.S Following ordination, he became the pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Massena, NY and chaplain to The State University of New York at Potsdam, Clarkson University at Potsdam, and St. Lawrence University in NY; Concordia Lutheran Church and School in Red Wing, MN, Lutheran Church of the Ascension in Burnsville, MN, and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chatfield, MN. Robert I. Herzberg, of Lakeville, passed away March 7, 2013 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Millie; daughter, Susan Herzberg and her husband John Hoch; grandchildren, Kristina and Jared; sister, Marilyn (Ivan) Trometer; also survived by other loving relatives and friends. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Faith Covenant Church in Burnsville. Visitationwill be held one hour prior to the service.

Lance D. Carnahan, of Burnsville, passed away on March 6, 2013 at the age of 68. Carnahan was originally from Worthington, in southwestern Minnesota. He was a 1962 graduate of Worthington High School. He married Dolores Marsh in Worthington on April 4, 1964. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald, and father-in-law, Cecil Marsh. Carnahan is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dolores ‘Dee’ Carnahan; children, Michele Drussell, Rochele (Jason) Ickert, Janelle (Ron) McGlinchey and Lance A. Burnsville resident Loretta K. Jensen, nee Eischen, passed away on March 3, 2013 at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her sister, Sally. Jensen is survived by her husband of 69 years, Foster; children, Kathy (Richard) Gustafson, Larry (Kimberly) Jensen and Craig Jensen (Gail Fenton); grandchildren, Robert, John, Erik, Meredith, Tyler, and Dokoda; great-grandchildren, Tracy, Mitchell, Nicolas, Alexander, and Kirsten; nine step-grandchildren; also by other loving relatives and friends. A memorials service for Jensen is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at White Funeral Home in Burnsville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Eastview Alum Dies at the Age of 25

Tyrone Mitchell III died on Feb. 24, 2013.

Tyrone Mitchell III, of Apple Valley, passed away Feb. 24, 2013 at the age of 25. "I was Tyrone's guidance counselor at Eastview, and he was one who touched my heart. I know that we are not supposed to have 'favorite students' but I am not afraid to say that Tyrone is and will always be a favorite," wrote Anne Scholen in Mitchell's online guestbook. "His kind soul, gentle nature, and acceptance of all touched everyone around him, and we are all better for having known him. I'm so sorry for your loss."
