Cable Service Feedback at Burnsville City Council Meeting

The city wants to hear from residents about their experiences with cable. A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the city council meeting. It begins at 6:30 p.m. at city hall. If you can't attend the meeting, you can leave feedback through email or an online note: http://www.burnsville.org/index.aspx?NID=1163

Burnhaven Library Book Group

New members are welcome to the book group that meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Registration is not required to attend. It starts at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20.

The DFL Senate Districts 56 and 58 Picnic

Elected officials and candidates will be at the summer picnic on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at Lac Lavon Park in Burnsville. There is a suggested donation of $10 for those over 10 years old. Games and a silent auction will be part of the picnic.

Let's Talk History

The Burnsville Historical Society is hosting an informal event that includes coffee, cookies and the opportunity to share stories with Lynn Gruber, the new executive director of the Dakota County Historical Society. It will be held on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 7-8 p.m. at 190 River Ridge Circle in Burnsville. 

Summer Spectacular 

A car show, craft fair, swap meet and more will be at the Dakota County Fairgrounds in Farmington on Saturday, Aug. 24. Admission is $5 while parking is free. The event also raises money for local charities. It runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
