Here's Lookin' at You Kid: Free Summer Movies and Music
This year's line up includes the Bogart-Bergman classic, "Casablanca."
Free Movies, Nicollet Commons Park: Seating at 7:30 p.m. Show begins at dusk.
- June 8— "I Love Burnsville Week" Event
- June 22—Soul Surfer: The inspirational tale of a young surfer, Bethany Hamilton, takes to the waves again and becomes a champion after losing her arm to a shark attack.
- July 13—Yogi Bear: A 21st-century take on the beloved Saturday morning cartoon.
- July 27—Hachi: A Dog's Tail, an American remake of a Japanese film about a dog's devotion to his master, starring Richard Gere.
- Aug. 10—Gnomeo and Juliet: An irreverent take on William Shakespeare's most famous tragedy.
- Aug. 24—Casablanca: The classic 1940s romance starring a sultry Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart, "where every burning moment brings danger..where every kiss may be the last."
Wednesday in the Park Concert Series: Takes place at Civic Center Park, at 7 p.m.
- June 20: The Whitesidewalls, doo-wop and early rock and roll (Opening event begins at 6:30 p.m.)
- June 27: The Devon Worley Band, country
- July 11: Dakota Valley Summer Pops Orchestra & Chorale
- July 18: Will Hale, the "grooviest parent and kid friendly music around."
- July 25: Pavel Jany and Ticket to Brasil, Bossa Nova, Samba and Brazilian Jazz
- Aug. 1: Remembering the King (Elvis impersonator) and the Southern Cruzers Car Club
