VIEWFINDER: Burnsville's Birnamwood Golf Course
The golf course is open today and, according to Superintendent Dan Hill, tee times are available
It has been a long winter. A really long winter. But with temperatures climbing into the high-60s and, dare we say it low-70s, spring has officially sprung and its time to dust off the clubs.
Flanked on either side by residential neighborhoods, Burnsville's Birnamwood Golf Course is cozily intertwined in the community. And, perhaps most importantly, it is now open for business.
According to superintendent Dan Hill, tee times are available for the executive par 3 course and, despite the snowmelt, the fairways are dry and the greens are soft and inviting.

Let's face it, who among us would not benefit from some early chipping and putting practice before that first company tournament or weekly league starts?
Hill will let golfers go out as late as 6:30 p.m. but he encourages larger parties to call 952-641-1370 before arriving to make sure there is space.
