South Metro Gets Down 'Gangnam Style' at Lakeville North Cheer Invitational
This weekend, a cheer competition at Lakeville North turned into giant, spontaneous dance party.
The City of Burnsville got some choice footage on Saturday, when hundreds of cheerleaders and much of the crowd broke into dance when "Gangnam Style" by South Korean rapper Psy came over the PA. Baffled by the Gangnam phenomenon? Take a look at Psy's original video, a send-up of the super rich that has garnered 590 million YouTube views since it premiered July 15.
"Gangnam" has spawned dozens of parodies and set the Guinness world record for the most “liked” video in YouTube history. Some have called it the "greatest video since 'Thriller.'"
