PHOTOS: Mountain Bike Racing At Buck Hill

300 racers endure the heat and humidity during the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series (MNMTB) race on Sunday.

Buck Hill was the place to be on Sunday if you race or are a fan of mountain bike racing. The Metric Auto Works Birch Bump is the fifth race of eleven in the MNMTB series. Races are held around the state from mid-May through late September.

There were just under 300 participants ranging in age from 8-68. The day started off with a Kids race at 9:00 AM. They did one lap which was approximately 2.7 miles. Next up was the Citizen race they did two laps. Sport class raced at 11:00 AM and completed four laps. The Pro and Expert racers had a 1:10 PM start time and did six laps. The Comp class was last to start and did five laps.
