Dan did a good job of taking care of the ball and making plays in week one. Coach Tyler Krebs said Motl was good at finding open receivers downfield.

-- Lucas Grossoehme (Burnsville - linebacker)
Although a bit undersized for a linebacker at 5-foot-8 and 175 pounds, Lucas has shown good instincts and a knack for being in the right spot at the right time.
-- Nate Lemoine (Rosemount - quarterback)
Nate was 9-of-14 for 107 yards and two touchdowns in week one’s 28-6 win at Bloomington Kennedy. He was also the team’s leading rusher with 15 carries for 57 yards.
-- Logan Lindberg (Rosemount – Running back)
Logan scored three times last week. He hauled in two touchdown passes and scored on a 76-yard punt return. He also kicked four extra points.
BLAZE WINS IF...
With a slim margin for error against a team that rarely makes mistakes, the Blaze must play a complete game. Burnsville led Bloomington Jefferson 12-0 in the third quarter of week one before letting the game slip away, including a bad snap on a punt that the Jaguars recovered for a score.
IRISH WINS IF...
In addition to continued balance on offense, Rosemount could make it an easier night by getting an early lead and deflating any upset hopes on the Blaze sideline.
