Burnsville Native: “Bamberg (Germany) Has Become a Second Home”

Jessica Miller is a crowd favorite playing basketball overseas.

Jessica Miller is a Burnsville native, but she’s established herself as a hometown favorite far away from Minnesota in Bamberg, Germany.

The 25-year-old was the first pro player signed by DJK Brose Bamberg basketball team for the 2013-14 season—not a surprise since she’s become a crowd favorite in her previous three years with the team and was team captain last year.

"With her irrepressible commitment and her versatile strength, she is the figurehead and the heart of the team," inFranken.de quoted her coach, Steffen Dauer.

In the previous season, Miller played an average of 33 minutes per game, more than any other player on the team. She averaged 11 points, five rebounds and three assists per game.

"Bamberg has become a second home for me. I want to contribute my part to the program, in the first place to establish league,” the website quoted Miller.
