Burnsville Girls Cross Country Team Aspire to State

The team expects to have a competitive season after barely missing the state competition last year.

The Burnsville Girls Cross Country team just might have another shot at making state this year, according to a Savage Pacer report. Last year the team finished third and missed a spot in the state competition by just two points.

“Last year, it all started to fall into place and majority of the girls who contributed to that success are back this year,” Burnsville Coach Charlie Burnham told the paper. “The girls should look to be competitive at each meet we attend.”

The team will be led by senior Vivian Hett, who finished in 16th place at state last year, and 8th grader Kelly Koch who finished 15th overall in sections.
