Burnsville Cobras Baseball Team Competing in State Legion Tournament

The team defeated Woodbury to win its sub-state section and make it into the state competition.

The Burnsville Cobras American Legion baseball team will play in the 2013 Legion State Tournament this week. The team defeated Woodbury 4-2 on Sunday to make it into the state competition.

Edina, the host community for the tournament, will hold an opening ceremony at Braemar Field on Thursday, Aug 1 at 2:30 p.m. Tyler Hanson, a Burnsville High School graduate, will represent the Cobras in a Home Run Derby that will begin at 3:15 p.m.

Burnsville will play their first game on Friday, Aug. 2 at Round Lake in Eden Prairie. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
