Burnsville Boys Lacrosse Takes Third At State

The Blaze defeated White Bear Lake 11-7 in the third place game at Chanhassen High School

The Burnsville boys lacrosse team finished up the 2011 season as the third place squad at the state lacrosse tournament in Chanhassen.

The Blaze defeated White Bear Lake 11-7 in the third place game.

Junior Jake Maxson and senior Bodhi Engum led the way, each recording three goals in the game.

Burnsville, who lost to Benilde-St. Margaret’s in the semifinals, fell behind 3-0 before knotting the game a 3-3.

Meanwhile, goalie Kyle Perisic picked up the victory for Burnsville, who was the fourth seed in the tournament and finished the season 12-7.

White Bear Lake, the third seed in the tournament, finished the year 12-6.
