Blaze Volleyball Wins First Two Matches
Burnsville sweeps Visitation Wednesday for second win in as many nights.
After winning a five-set thriller against Totino-Grace one night earlier, the Blaze needed just three sets to beat Visitation 25-16, 25-21, 25-23 Wednesday night.
Coach Kim Hook said the team's energy level was noticably different Wednesday. "It's not an excuse, but it's more of a reason," she said.
Burnsville fell behind early in the opening set, before taking charge. The Blaze held a commanding lead late in the second set before a short Visitation rally, and the third set was similar.

The front line of sophomore Lauren Randall, junior Nikki Brolin and senior Alli Butler were especially strong all night.
"They have great reading ability blocking-wise, they've gotten so much stronger and confident," Hook said. "They're just swinging well and getting on top of the ball. They're fun to watch."
