School Board OKs Letters for Trap Shooting, Gymnastics

Burnsville High students can now letter in two new sports not offered by the athletic department.

Thursday, the Burnsville Board of Education approved agreements allowing high school letters to students who compete with the Minnesota State  High School Clay Target League, , Gleason’s Gymnastics, and Minnesota Valley Gymnastics Center.

The agreements follow a precedent set in 2005, when the Boardgranted lettering opportunities to students involved in the Burnsville-Minnesota Valley Figure Skating Club.

The measure was met with enthusiastic support on the Board.
