Backstage Pass: Inside Randy Day's Wonka Factory

Burnsville High will open its last play of the season, "Willy Wonka," on Thursday. Here's a sneak peek.

Burnsville High School Theatre Guild presents its last show of the season — a "sticky-sweet" musical performance of Roald Dahl's "Willy Wonka," one of the most technically challenging plays in the annals of BHS theater. The challenge for Artistic Director Randy Day: To get Charlie and Grandpa Joe to fly, blow up Violet Beauregard into a bad-tempered blueberry, and build a technicolor Wonka Factory in just a few weeks time. You know, the usual.
