Women's Economic Security Act signed into law on Mother's Day

The Women's Economic Security Act passed both the House and Senate with broad bipartisan support.

The Governor signed the Women’s Economic Security Act into law on Mother’s Day, marking historic progress toward ensuring equal opportunities for women to succeed in the workplace.

The Women’s Economic Security Act passed both the House and Senate with broad bipartisan support. It includes new tools to reduce the gender pay gap, strengthen workplace protections and flexibility for pregnant women and nursing mothers and a bill I authored (House File 2291) to expand job opportunities for women in high-wage, high-demand occupations like computer science and engineering.
