Monday

• Legos at the Library: Like Legos? Bring your kid to the Burnhaven Library on Monday. The event is free and supplies are provided. Children aged two through 12 are the target audience. The fun begins at 6:00 p.m.

• Planning Commission: Monday night, the commission will hold a public hearing considering a proposal from the Fairview Development Company to build senior housing facility at the corner of the Community Drive and Nicollet Boulevard.

Tuesday

• Native Gardens, Raingardens and Native Shoreline Workshop: Learn how to make a native garden, raingarden or native shoreline in your yard. The workshop is free. It runs from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. at Burnsville City Hall.

• City Council Work Session: On Tuesday the council will discuss road improvements on Interstate 35 and Highway 13, new precinct boundaries following legislative redistricting, and term limits for commissioners on the city boards. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.

Wednesday

• Economic Development Commission Meeting: On Wednesday, the commission will discuss what incentives the city can offer businesses and the sale of city property on Cliff Road. The meeting convenes at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall.

Thursday

• No school for Independent School District 191.

• Bite of Burnsville: Foodies are invited to celebrate the 20th year of the Bite of Burnsville, which will feature culinary delights from over local 20 establishments, a silent auction and an acoustical performance by Twin Cities rocker GB Leighton. Tickets are $40 for general admission and $60 for VIP access.

Irish Beer Tasting: Jo Jo's Rise and Wine is offering samples of ale from the Emerald Isle. The tasting runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Friday
