Significant Hwy. 13 Repairs Scheduled for 2012

Hwy. 13 from Burnsville to West St. Paul will be resurfaced in 2012, according to a report in the Star Tribune.

State officials will spend $11.4 million to rehabilitate a long stretch of Hwy. 13 in Dakota County this year.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation plans to repave 13 miles of the highway, stretching from Burnsville to West St. Paul, according to a report in the Star Tribune. The condition of the road is poor, according to state and local officials.

The project is schedule to begin in May and must be completed no later than Aug. 31, according to the Star Tribune. All three communities along the route—Burnsville, Eagan and Mendota Heights—are working with MnDOT to mitigate the disruption to residents and businesses along the stretch.
