Senators Daley and Hall plan State Fair visit
Meet and greet your legislators and let your opinion be known.
Burnsville’s two state senators, Sen. Ted Daley and Sen. Dan Hall, will be available to meet and greet with constituents during the Minnesota State Fair. Throughout the fair, lawmakers will be available at the Senate and House booths to answer questions and hear concerns. The booths are located side by side in the northeast corner of the Education Building on Cosgrove Street just north of Dan Patch Avenue.
Daley, who represents Senate District 38, plans to be at the Senate booth Saturday, Aug. 27 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Hall, who represents Senate District 40, is scheduled to be available Saturday, Sept. 3, from 1p.m. to 3 p.m.
While at the booths, visitors can take the annual House and Senate opinion polls to let their thoughts be known on such issues as sales tax on clothes, defining marriage as between a man and a woman; publicly funded preschool education for all children, expanding gambling and voter ID.
