Sen. Carlson to Hold MNsure Forum for Small Business Owners

The forum will take place on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at Stephano's Restaurant in Burnsville.

Just what the doctor ordered: This Monday, small business owners are invited to partake of cocktails, networking and an info session on MNsure, the Obamacare inspired healthcare exchange.

Burnsville Sen. Jim Carlson (DFL) will host the educational forum about the exchange, which opened up enrollment on Oct. 1. The event is sponsored by Small Business Minnesota, which hopes to give small business owners a chance to "get the facts directly from state experts." MNsure SHOP director Neil Rolland will explain what will be required of employers, as well as the costs, coverage, and tax credits associated with the new exchange.

The meeting is on Monday, Oct. 7, at Stephano’s Restaurant (11849 Millpond Avenue) in Burnsville. Networking begins at 5:15 p.m. along with a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres. The presentation will start at 6 p.m. Admission to the presentation only is free; entry to the networking session costs $15 per person.
