Poll: 3/4 in Second District Want Immigration Reform in 2013

A John Kline vote against the current bill would make 44 percent of likely voters less likely to support him, the Public Policy Polling survey said.

A new survey of likely Second Congressional District voters, conducted by Public Policy Polling for a group that wants citizenship for immigrants, said 44 percent would be less likely to vote for U.S. Rep. John Kline (R-MN) if he votes against the current immigration-reform bill:

In MN-2, 44% of voters say they’ll be less likely to support John Kline next year if he votes against immigration reform, to only 19% more likely to. 77% in the district think it’s important for the US to fix its immigration system this year, and voters support this specific plan by a 69/24 margin. There’s 66/29 support from Republicans and 65/26 from independents. ...

PPP surveyed ... 696 [likely 2014 voters] in MN-2between July 5th and 7th. ... The margins of error for the surveys are ... +/-3.7% ... These polls were conducted on behalf of the Alliance for Citizenship.
