Memorial Dedication Planned for Crichton June 5

The former member of the Burnsville City Council who passed away in 2011 will be honored with a plaque at the Alimagnet Dog Park.

Known for his love of dogs – and balanced budgets–former Burnsville City Council member Charlie Crichton will be honored with the unveiling of a plaque at Burnsville’s on June 5.

The memorial dedication is planned for 5:30 p.m. at the park, located at 1200 Alimagnet Parkway. The ceremony will coincide with the City’s “I Love Burnsville Week” festivities, and will include remarks from Burnsville Mayor Elizabeth Kautz.

Crichton, who was 84 years old, died on March 13, 2011, shortly after being reelected to a sixth term on the Burnsville City Council. He served on the Council for 18 years; beginning in 1993 after serving on the City’s planning commission for five years. He had also served on the Arden Hills City Council from 1972 through 1982 before moving to Burnsville.
