Meeting Preview: Shakopee Might Hire an Odor Consultant

Monday

Shakopee Dog Park Open House, 7 p.m. in the Red Oak Elementary cafeteria, 7700 Old Carriage Court. 

Savage City Council: The council will receive a feasibility report on the Hidden Valley Park Ravine Stabilization Project. The council will also review its third quarter investment report and financial statements. Meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Savage City Hall.

Burnsville Parks and Natural Resources Commission: The commission will consider a new policy concerning food trucks and other vendors in parks. Commissioners will also get an update on the encroachment of emerald ash boarer. Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Burnsville City Hall.

Burnsville City Council, Part I: The council will hold a special work session to interview the three finalists for city manager, a list that includes Shakopee City Administrator Mark McNeill. The interviews are open to the public and will take place at 2 p.m. in a conference room at city hall.

Burnsville City Council, Part II: The council will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers. On the docket is a possible change to future meeting times, moving council meetings up from 6:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Shakopee City Council: The council will consider a contract for an odor consultant. The consultant would study odor issues that may be related to the Tribe's Organic Recycling Facility. That is just one item on a very full agenda, however. The council will also hold a public hearing on a contract for private development with Emerson and consider the impact of federal Health Care Reform in the city of Shakopee.

Shakopee Environmental Advisory Committee, 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Thursday

Shakopee Planning Commission, 7 p.m. at City Hall.
