Meeting Preview: BPAC Contract on the Block

This week, the Burnsville City Council will consider a new management firm for the Burnsville Performing Arts Center, a controversial $21 million facility, and the Shakopee Council will put liquor violators in the hot seat.

Monday

Savage City Council: The Savage Council will appoint a new Community Service Specialist and approve plans for another addition to the Trace Water Development. Meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Savage City Hall.

Burnsville City Council: The council has a full agenda this week, with one last look at a new management contract for the Burnsville Performing Arts Center, the formal appointment of Heather Johnston as the new city manager, and a final vote on the city's new food truck ordinance. Meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.

Shakopee City Council: The council will hold a hearing for liquor violations in fall of 2012, award a contract for the construction of Riverside Fields Park, and will take a a final vote on the fate of Raceway Park. Meeting begins at 7 p.m. at city hall.

Thursday
