Shoe Recycling Week

Instead of throwing away old or unwanted shoes, residents in Burnsville will be able to recycle them during a free one-week collection coordinated by Dakota Valley Recycling (Cities of Apple Valley, Burnsville and Eagan). In honor of America Recycles Day, residents will be able to drop off shoes from Monday, November 14 to Sunday, November 20.  Shoes of all types, sizes and styles, in any condition, will be accepted.

Shoes donated as part of the program are collected by the Adult Training Habilitation Center in conjunction with Recycling Association of Minnesota, and either separated for reuse or recycled into new products.
