Do You Love Burnsville? Prove it With a Short Video and Win Money

The city is holding an "I Love Burnsville" video contest. Winners can receive up to $150 in gift cards to local businesses.

In preparation for the annual "I Love Burnsville Week," the city is holding a video contest to encourage residents to share their affection for all things Burnsville by making short films of 30 seconds or less.

"Do you love Burnsville, do you love the awesome parks in Burnsville?" a highly caffeinated Burnsville Community Television staffer says in a schizophrenic introductory video. "Then do we have a contest for you."

Winners of the contest, sponsored by Experience Burnsville and the Chamber of Commerce, will a number of prizes and recognitions:

  • Free Burnsville Community Television (BCTV) production classes!
  • A gift card to a local business
    • First place: $150
    • Second place: $100
    • Third place: $50
  • Recognition by the City Council at the Tuesday, June 4, 2013, Council Meeting.
  • Your video posted on the City of Burnsville's YouTube channel.Check out the channel at www.youtube.com/cityofburnsvillemn.
  • Your video played on BCTV Channel 14 and 16.
  • Your video played at Friday Fest during "I Love Burnsville" week on June 7, 2013 at Cliff Fen Park.
