Dakota County to Sponsor Photo Contest
Local shutterbugs are encouraged to submit photos highlighting the county's natural beauty.
Dakota County is seeking submissions for a photography exhibition planned for February 2012.
Local photographers, age 8 and older, are asked to submit up to two photographs centering on the year's chosen theme, "Dakota County Outdoors." The contest is open only to Dakota County residents. The deadline for submissions is Monday, Jan. 2, 2012.
The exhibit is sponsored by the Dakota County Public Art Citizen Advisory Committee, which will review all entries. The finalists will ultimately be chosen by the Dakota County Board of Commissioners.
The chosen photographs will be displayed at the Western Service Center in Apple Valley, the Northern Service Center in West St. Paul, and the Administration Center in Hastings.
