Masin Announces Bid for Re-Election in District 51A

State Representative Sandra Masin announced her candidacy for re-election to DFL leaders November 21, 2013 at the DFL District 51 Central Committee Meeting in Eagan.

Masin asked for the DFL party endorsement which will be determined in spring of 2014, and stood for questions. Masin discussed 2013 Legislative accomplishments such as responsibly passing the State's budget, investing heavily in education and funding programs to help workers and small businesses. Masin noted that the State's bond rating has been upgraded because of changes made in state government operations and expectations that these types of positive changes will continue.  Masin asked for support from Democrats to re-elect her in November of 2014 so she can build on the progress made in what many constituents have characterized as "less contentious" Legislative session. Masin cited her priorities for 2014 as a comprehensive transportation bill and a strong bonding bill.  Masin is currently serving her third (non-consecutive) term as Representative in the district which now includes parts of Burnsville and Eagan.
