Woman Accused of Slamming Burnsville Boy's Head on Ground

Jacquie Autumn Unger of Savage is charged with malicious punishment of a child after police say she hit a 10-year-old boy repeatedly in the head.

A Savage woman has been charged with hitting a 10-year-old Burnsville boy, making him hit his head repeatedly on concrete.

Jacquie Autumn Unger, 32, is charged with malicious punishment of a child, a gross misdemeanor with a maximum penalty a year in jail and a $3,000 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, Burnsville police were called to an apartment complex just after 5 p.m. April 27 on a report of a woman hitting a boy in the parking lot.

When police arrived, they spoke to Unger and the 10-year-old boy. The boy, who had cuts on his head, told officers that Unger had tried to get him into her car, but he had struggled with her.

The boy said Unger hit him repeatedly, causing his head to hit the concrete.

Unger allegedly told police that she had recently been “having problems” with the boy. She said  that he had refused to get into her car when she arrived to pick him up from school on April 25, and that she eventually left him there and drove away without him, according to the complaint.

The boy had been living with a family friend since April 25, Unger told police.

Unger said she was “done” with the boy  and that no one knew what she had “given up” for him, the complaint says.

Unger is free on her promise to make all future court appearances and is prohibited from having any contact with the victim. An omnibus hearing in her case is scheduled July 31 in Dakota County District Court in Hastings.

How Could You Let This Idiot Go Free ? Is The Judge On Crack ?

Let's keep in mind that Ms. Unger is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Throughout this article you'll see the words "allegedly," and "accused." That's because right now, she has only been arrested on probable cause. Remember that a charge is not the same as a conviction, and that goes for everyone who comments on our site, not just Lobo here.

Clare , I Totally Understand Innocent Until Proven Guilty . Explain To Me If You Will Is Why There Is Not A Bond On This Woman For Child Endangerment , Assault On A Juvenile , Maybe Even Attempted Manslaughter . This Person Allegedly Repeatedly Struck A Ten Year Old Boys Head Against Concrete . No Electrical Monitoring , Just A Promise That I'll Show Up In Court . Its No Wonder Why Police Are Under So Much Stress . They Do An Outstanding Service To The Public . Just To Have A Judge Let Child Abusers Walk Free . Violent Criminals Need To Be Locked Up !
