Small Fire Breaks Out at Defunct Mini-Golf Course

The fire began at around 8:35 in the evening on Wednesday, officials with the Burnsville Fire Department said.

A building on an abandoned mini-golf course caught fire last night, resulting in only minor damage.

At 8:35 p.m. on Wednesday, members of the Burnsville Fire Department were called out after police reportedly saw smoke wafting up from behind a SuperAmerica at the corner of of Burnsville Parkway and Country Road 5. At the time, it was considered a possible structure fire.

Fires crews found a small fire inside the main building of a nearby mini-golf course, which has been unoccupied for some time. The fire was extinguished quickly.

The cause is still under investigation. No injuries have been reported.
