Eight people were injured when a bull escaped its pen at the Dakota County Fair Wednesday night. One woman had serious injuries and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, the Star Tribune reported.

“It ran toward a deputy, who fired two rounds,” Bellows said, adding that the deputy also was hurt by the bull.

“The bull was on the loose for about 10 to 15 minutes and was eventually rounded up and captured by rodeo staff,” he said.
