UPDATED: Police Investigate Homicide After Shooting in Burnsville

One man was killed and another injured in the Tuesday morning shooting that occurred on the 2100 block of E. 117th Street in Burnsville.

The Burnsville Police Department is investigating the homicide that occurred in Burnsville Tuesday morning after police found in a vehicle two men who had been shot.

One man was killed and another injured in the incident. The injured man was transported to Regions Hospital and his condition remains unknown, according to the release. 

A woman in the vehicle notified police that the shooting happened on the 2100 block of East 117th Street in Burnsville. It does not appear to be a random act.

Police ask that anyone who may have information related to the case call Investigator Carpenter at (952) 895-4592.

The names of the victims are being withheld until relatives are notified.

One man is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Burnsville early this morning.

According to the Star Tribune, shots were fired in a residential area on the 2100 block of E. 117th Street around 2 a.m. The victims then drove to an Eagan Super America on Cliff and Slater roads. According to KARE 11, one victim was pronounced dead at the gas station scene, while the other was rushed to the hospital.

Police appeared to be wrapping up their investigation at the gas station around 7 a.m. this morning, however, the suspected Burnsville scene is still active, KARE 11 reported.

The identity of the victims has not been released.
