Motorcyclist Dies in Burnsville Crash

The Lakeville man was pronounced dead shortly after the accident on Monday.

A Lakeville man was killed Monday night in a motorcycle crash in Burnsville, the State Patrol says.

Melvin D. Schermann, 50, of Lakeville, struck a guardrail just before 8 p.m. Monday on southbound Interstate 35W, just south of County Road 42, according to the State Patrol.

Schermann was not wearing a helmet, authorities said.
