The victim told police that she argued with Coleman, her children’s father, after Coleman called her at work and told her to come home and take care of the children, 2 years old and 5 months old.

When she arrived home, she and Coleman began arguing, and while she was sitting on the floor Coleman punched her in the leg with his fist, the complaint says. Coleman also pushed her backward, causing her to hit her head on the floor, the victim said.

Coleman’s attack left her with an injured left leg and a bump on her head, the victim told police.

As the argument continued, the victim’s sister entered the apartment, and the victim said she was going to report Coleman’s attack to the police, according to the complaint.

Coleman told the women that he would “kill everyone in the apartment” if she called police.

The children were in the apartment at the time of the argument and the assault, according to the complaint.
