Man Accused of Domestic Assault by Strangulation Arrested Again

Devon Thomas Finucane was arrested Wednesday for violating a domestic no-contact order.

and charged with domestic assault by strangulation was arrested again this week for violating a domestic no-contact order.

Devon Thomas Finucane, 27, who lives in the 2800 block of Sunnyside Circle, was arrested Wednesday. He appeared for a bail hearing on Thursday and was released on his promise to make all future court appearances.

A pretrial hearing in the no-contact order case is scheduled for July 20.

Finucane was arrested early on the morning of July 3 after his victim, with whom Finucane has a child in common, told police that he had grabbed her by the throat and began to squeeze, cutting off her airway.

The woman told police that Finucane attacked her after she made a remark to him about getting pregnant by another man “so that Finucane could feel the pain she felt with his past unfaithfulness,” according to that complaint.

At one point, the victim said, Finucane picked her up and threw her toward the crib in which their 6-month-old baby was sleeping.

The victim described Finucane as a martial arts fighter and an “avid weightlifter.”
