Ex-Nanny Charged with Check Forgery Arrested in Hastings

Kristian Daeonte Tanner, who was being sought on a nationwide arrest warrant, was arrested this week.

A Hampton woman being sought on a nationwide arrest warrant charging her with stealing checks from her former employer in Burnsville has been arrested.  

Kristian Daeonte Tanner, 29, was arrested Monday in Hastings. She appeared Tuesday in Dakota County District Court and was released on her promise to make all future court appearances.

An omnibus hearing in Tanner’s case is scheduled Oct. 20 in Hastings.

Tanner is charged with offering a forged check, a felony with a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

The complaint against Tanner charges her with stealing a checkbook from the Burnsville woman for whom she worked as a nanny last year and trying to pass one of the checks at the Dakota County license center to transfer a vehicle title.
