Eagan Girl Accused of Stalking, Threatening Father

Amal Mohamed Osman, 18, allegedly said she would kill her father after he threatened to return a car he'd recently bought her.

One Eagan girl faces a felony charge after she allegedly threatened to gun down her father.

Amal Mohamed Osman, 18, faces one charge of terroristic threats, a felony that carries up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Osman also has been charged with stalking, a gross misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $3,000 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, on March 12, Burnsville police received report of a threat. Upon arrival, officers found the repprting party, an man, visibly shaken and distraught.

The man told officers that his daughter had threatened him during a disagreement over a car. The girl, Osman, lives with her mother and step-father in Eagan. The man and the girl's mother had recently purchased a car for her, which would be granted to her once she obtained her driver's license. Prior to the argument, Osman allegedly took the car without permission and hit her mother.

Because of these actions, the man told Osman's step-father to take the car back to the dealership. Osman called him and allegedly said, "If you call my mom again I will kill you." Then she threatened to shoot him. The man told police that he believed she was capable of carrying out the threat. He said that she may be in a gang and has friends who have access to guns. told of an incident last year when Osman punched him in the stomach, sending him to the hospital.

Osman has only one minor traffic violation on her record.

Osman made her first court appearance was on Thursday. Her next hearing is scheduled for June 25.
