Burnsville Man Arrested for Alleged Assault on his Father

Kaleb Steven Anderson, 30, allegedly punched the older man after he tried to protect a young woman who contends that Anderson groped her.

A Burnsville man faces felony charges after a fight erupted at his home during the late hours on Thursday. Police say that Kaleb Steven Anderson, 30, beat and threatened his father after the older man tried to thwart a sexual assault in progress.

The altercation began earlier the night of June 30, when Anderson allegedly entered a bedroom in the house where his girlfriend’s adult daughter lay sleeping. According to the woman, Anderson forcibly fondled her breasts in spite of repeated protests.

Anderson’s father said he was asleep in a nearby room when the feud began. He told police he awoke after hearing a commotion. He found his son outside the woman’s room. The two men began to argue after Anderson’s father told him to leave her alone.

The fight escalated after Anderson’s father locked him out of the house. Enraged, Anderson kicked the door in and began pummeling his father. His father fled back inside the house and tried to bar the door, but Anderson kicked it down again and renewed his attack.

Dispatchers heard some of the struggle through an open phone line.

Anderson’s next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 1.
