Burnsville Man Accused of Burglarizing, Bloodying Apple Valley Home

Outhone Lee Sayachack, 24, allegedly busted into an Apple Valley house and made off with a 90-lb. safe, but left ample amounts of his own blood behind.

Police say a Burnsville man cut himself in the process of breaking into an Apple Valley home and left a substantial trail of blood all over the house, from the window to the end of the driveway.

Outhone Lee Sayachack, 24, was booked Monday on one charge of second-degree burglary, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Authorities have been seeking Sayachack since the incident on July 5, 2012. Early that morning, police were called to an Apple Valley address on a report of a burglary. The homeowners said they returned home at about 3:30 a.m. and found the back window of home broken out and blood everywhere.

According to the criminal complaint, it appeared that the culprit had gotten cut on the way in, leading to a "considerable amount of blood loss." Police found bloody fingerprints and palm marks on the window blinds, with blood smeared on two landscape rocks leading to an interior staircase. The trail of blood continued all over the house, leading out to the driveway, where the suspect apparently got into a waiting vehicle.

A 90-lb. safe was missing, as well as a selection of jewelry. Cash, computers, and electronics were left undisturbed. The homeowner said he suspected that the thief believed the safe to be full of marijuana or cash.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension provided the Apple Valley PD with a DNA profile from a blood sample. A search of the BCA's fingerprint database tied the prints to Sayachack. The DNA was a match to a sample of Sayachack's that the BCA had on file.

However, attempts to locate Sayachack were unsuccessful until this week. On Monday, Sayachack was arrested on warrant. He remains in custody at the Dakota County Jail on a $30,000 bond, which will be reduced to $10,000 if Sayachack agrees to abide by the court's conditions.

His next court appearance is scheduled for June 25.
