Burnsville Fire Department Calls: April 11-17

The Burnsville Fire Department saw everything from malicious false alarms and unauthorized burns to stalled elevators and EMS calls. It also issued two important announcements

Removal of victim from stalled elevator: 1

Assist invalid: 4

Unauthorized burning: 1

Good intent calls

Burnsville Fire Department announcements:

1. Grilling is not permitted on the decks of multi-housing buildings or within 15 feet of the building. The types of grills prohibited are any that produce an open flame, which includes charcoal and propane grills. Electric grills are allowed under state law.

Exception: Listed electric or gas-fired barbecue grills that are permanently mounted and wired or plumbed to the building’s gas supply or electrical system and that maintain a minimum clearance of 18 inches on all sides, unless listed for lesser clearances, may be installed on balconies and patios when approved by the fire chief.
